Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Messiana mobile application and messiana.org, operated by Forgardy ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Messiana is — and isn't
Messiana is a faith-based spiritual-growth companion. It is not medical, psychological, or clinical treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional counseling, therapy, or emergency services. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified professional or local crisis services immediately.
2. Eligibility
You must meet the minimum age required by the App Store age rating for Messiana and by applicable law. If you use the app on behalf of a minor in your care, you accept these Terms on their behalf.
3. Your account
You can delete your account at any time — from the app's account settings, or by emailing us — which removes your profile and personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Membership and subscriptions
Messiana is free to download. Some features require a paid membership, offered as an auto-renewing subscription processed by Apple. By purchasing, you also agree to Apple's terms. Key points:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions anytime in your Apple ID Settings → Subscriptions.
- If a free trial is offered, unused portions may be forfeited when you purchase a membership.
5. Community rules
Community features exist to encourage one another. To keep them safe, you agree not to:
- Harass, shame, threaten, or demean any person or group;
- Post explicit, graphic, or otherwise inappropriate content;
- Share anyone's private information without their consent;
- Impersonate others, spam, or post commercial solicitations;
- Encourage any activity that is unlawful or harmful.
You can report content and block members in the app. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of content you create, such as journal entries and community posts. By posting to community spaces, you grant us a limited license to host and display that content within the app and to moderate it as needed. Journal entries are private and are never displayed to others.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to interfere with the app's operation, attempt unauthorized access, collect data by automated means, or use the app in ways that violate applicable law.
8. Intellectual property
The Messiana app, its content, and this site are protected by intellectual property laws. Scripture quotations are from the public domain World English Bible or are used within quotation permissions. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
9. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind except those required by law. We do not promise specific spiritual or behavioral outcomes.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for claims relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
